Rest time

Kid’n Around Early Education Centre aims to meet all children’s individual needs by allocating a rest time within the routine, to ensure that children have a balance of active and passive activities throughout the day. All children are required to relax at rest time how ever a flexible routine is in place which caters for all children’s individual needs.

Rest time does not necessarily mean children have to sleep. Some children need to sleep throughout the day whereas others may merely need a rest. No child is forced to sleep and no children are forced to stay awake. For the children who are not sleeping quiet music or a story is played or meditation and yoga is practiced by the children for a short period, then quiet activities are provided. During rest time the classrooms are closed. This means no visitors will be allowed to tour the centre or enter any classrooms until rest time finishes.

Our CuRricuLum

There are many different styles and philosophies about teaching and the way children learn in their early years. We believe that the curriculum used in a centre should reflect their philosophy and be appropriate to the specific setting of the service. Kid’N Around Early Education Centre does not use anyone particular style, approach, or type of curriculum, but implements a balanced program that draws on a range of approaches adapted to suit our service.
