An additional payment to the Child Care Benefit is the Child Care Rebate. The Rebate helps families cover the out-of-pocket costs of child care and it is not income tested. Even if your family income is too high for you to receive the Child Care Benefit, you may be eligible for the Child Care Rebate. It covers 50 per cent of out-of-pocket costs, up to $7,500 per child, per year.
You may choose to receive the Child Care Rebate paid fortnightly, either to your bank account, or directly to Kid’n Around Early Education Centre as a fee reduction. You still have the option of having your Child Care Rebate paid quarterly or annually as a lump sum directly to your bank account.
Please note that if you choose to have the Child Care Rebate paid directly to the service, there is a delay of up to three weeks before the benefit is paid to the service, during which time full fees will be debited. Of course, any excess Child Care Rebate received after your child leaves the service will be refunded to families.
Out-of-pocket child care costs are calculated after deducting any Child Care Benefit payments that are received.
There are many different styles and philosophies about teaching and the way children learn in their early years. We believe that the curriculum used in a centre should reflect their philosophy and be appropriate to the specific setting of the service. Kid’N Around Early Education Centre does not use anyone particular style, approach, or type of curriculum, but implements a balanced program that draws on a range of approaches adapted to suit our service.
